Web3 Foundation to start blockchain programs in China

Web 3.0 Bootcamp, courtesy of Web3 Foundation, is created to initiate blockchain programs in China.

Web3 Foundation and Parity Technologies joined Wanxiang Blockchain Labs and New Chainbase to initiate this Bootcamp.

This is intended to put blockchain projects on a rapid track to success and global acceptability.

The bootcamp, among other things, will help teams creating public blockchains and disseminated protocols that solve scalability, protection and interoperability issues.

The website will be opened for application on the 15th of March, 2020.

Global Substrate-based teams are advised to apply.

Substrate, a blockchain framework is created by Parity Technologies for ultimate adaptability.

Asides its scalability, Polkadot’s intending takeoff will give rise to a wide range of developed components to builders who are ambitious.

These components which have unique cross-chain composability with great security guarantees will deliver a good ground which will contribute to the developing network effects of this system.

The first cohort which will begin in April 2020 will have 12 teams and will have their workspaces donated by partner New Chainbase in Shanghai.

About Web 3.0 Bootcamp

According to Dr. Gavin Wood, founder, and president of Web3 Foundation, the Bootcamp will involve fast-growing business sectors.

They include Automotive, Supply Chain Finance, Smart City, Insurance, and Government Public Service to open the way for a new generation.

In addition, startup teams will get practice in blockchain technologies, accounting and legal, financing, intellectual property, branding, product marketing, hiring and human resources and investor development.

Wood noted that they are delighted to partner with Wanxiang Blockchain Labs and New Chainbase to facilitate the rapidly growing community of founders in China and Asia extensively while seeking to focus on Substrate and Polkadot.

“This year especially, I expect substantial blockchain innovations from researchers, founders and engineers in this area.”

He added that they are eager to help local teams relate to a worldwide Web3 ecosystem and implement global solutions.

Web 3.0 Bootcamp teams will have unrestrained access to Parity’s core developers and solution architects in the incubation stage of their projects.

Teams will create and sample their proof-of-concept (PoC) within Wanxiang’s suite of enterprise portfolio companies so as to scale their technology.

At the conclusion of the program, the twelve teams will also profit from access to the Web3 Foundation, Wanxiang Blockchain and Parity Technologies global network of partners to improve future investment capital opportunities.

Director of Wanxiang Blockchain Labs, Yu Du also added that it is an honour to work together with Web3 Foundation and Parity Technologies who are blockchain experts.

This will help hasten the advancement of new distributed technologies.

He said the Bootcamp will be a powerful foundation for creative startups who desire growth of the China economic.

He added that it is a great chance for teams that are enthusiastic about developing Web3.0 technology.

Bootcamp activities like the training and tutoring will be completed online, until further notice.

To Alex Qian, co-founder of Darwinia Network, quicker iterations can be achieved with Substrate and Polkadot’s ever-growing technical community in China and Asia.

“We are fascinated to be a part of the revolutionary ecosystem.”
