India PM awards young entrepreneur for crypto price tracking app

India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has awarded Harshita Arora, a young entrepreneur for her crypto price tracking application.

India PM, Modi had tweeted on January 24 that he was excited that the talented Harshita Arora has been conferred the Bal Shakti Puraskar 2020.

He added that she had been concentrating on an extensive range of sectors and her passion for science, technology, and human welfare is very visible.

Innovation prize in India

Kumari Harshita Arora, the recipient of the India award, had designed all by herself, an app called Crypto Price Tracker, a portfolio management and price tracking equipment for cryptocurrencies.

Chatting with the award winners at his house, Modi stated how happy he is to see their diligence towards the society and the nation at large.

He stated how surprised he was while being introduced to the winners.

This is because, according to him, despite their young ages, they have all done incredibly well in diverse fields.

He added that learning about their works from all of them gives him energy and inspiration.

What the crypto tracker is about

18-year-old Arora created a cryptocurrency portfolio management and price tracking app called Crypto Price Tracker and launched it on the App Store in January 2018.

It was thereafter obtained by Redwood City Ventures.

She explained how the portfolio management got a lot of great responses from the crypto community and also got thousands of paid downloads in the first 24 hours of its launch.

This made it rise to the #2 app in the Finance category of the App Store.

The Crypto Price Tracker app has price tracking and customizable alert features.

Asides tracking costs of more than a thousand cryptocurrency from more than 18 exchanges in 32 fiat currencies, it also gives price charts for all monitored cryptocurrencies for a particular period of time such as the last one day, one week, one month, three months, and even a year.

With the app, users can initiate time-based alerts to get prices of a coin as a push notification regularly or at particular times.

They can also initiate price threshold-based alerts to get notified when the price of a particular coin reduces, increases or changes by a particular percent.

The app is obtainable on the Apple app store, but not in the United States.
